The SORGENTI 1585 winery and olive farm is located in one of the most evocative areas of the Arno Valley, where the Florentine hills surround Florence and the river Arno is the lifeline of the northern part of Tuscany. The peaceful silence of nature, with its olive trees, vines and woodland, transports our visitors to the flavours of ancient traditions and gives our wine and olive oil a very special and deep taste.

SORGENTI 1585 is surrounded by approximately 60 hectares of land, mainly planted with vines, olive trees and forest. In particular, the forest serves as a shelter and ecological balance for animals and insects, which in turn benefits our vines and olive trees and is also part of nature's interplay. Our knowledge of wine and olive production, passed down through generations.  Especially the last 50 years (1974-2024), which were particularly shaped by Gabriele and Elisabetta Ferrari, enable us today to produce these extraordinary wines in limited quantities.

From the SORGENTI 1585 lands, which are situated at an altitude of between 200 and 400 metres above sea level, visitors to SORGENTI 1585 are treated to a unique view. A view of the entire city of Florence, with the famous cathedral in the centre, located on the wonderfully sunny valley of the Arno river.

The entire SORGENTI 1585 team is always involved in all phases of wine and olive oil production and has always considered this activity, in harmony with nature, a way of life. At SORGENTI 1585 we love the earth and what nature gives us to produce high-quality products. Every decision, from the preparation to the harvest, year after year, is made exclusively in favour of the quality of the product. This allows us to offer you limited but unique flavours, fragrances and aromas that are second to none of a bygone era that will delight your palate.
